During its early-'90s heyday, few could have predicted the enduring resilience of the Euro-dance format. More than a decade later, though, another 'happy hardcore' sensation arrived in the form of 23-year-old Swede Jonas Altberg -- better known as Basshunter -- who achieved multi-platinum success in mainland Europe with his 2006 single 'Boten Anna,' and topped the U.K. and Irish charts in late 2007 with an English version of the same song. Now You're Gone: The Album is Basshunter's first English-language album, featuring English-language remakes of tracks from his second Swedish release, LOL <(^^,)>, as well as the Swedish originals 'Boten Anna' and 'Dota' (re-recorded as 'All I Ever Wanted'). Not surprisingly, Now You're Gone: The Album is unashamedly formulaic. 'Now You're Gone' recalls the O Zone's infectious hit 'Dragostea Din Tei,' complete with robotically altered vocal effects. 'Dota' lifts the entire chorus melody from 'Daddy DJ' right down to the last cadence, while 'Please Don't Go' and duet 'I Miss You' mine the Stock, Aitken & Waterman production style for all it's worth. Where Basshunter succeeds, and others fail, is that he's got a genuine ear for an unforgettable melody. And while everything past track four is essentially an inferior rehash of what's gone before, for 12 or 13 minutes Now You're Gone: The Album is pure pop bliss.

The biggest-selling record in the UK this year is not the product of a talent show; the single Now You're Gone by Basshunter, aka 24-year-old Swedish producer Jonas Altberg, sold 400,000 copies and was on an indie label to boot. So far, so maverick. Unfortunately, Basshunter sounds like the motivational soundtrack you may hear in the gym: a Red Bull-fuelled trancey Westlife, replete with synths that sound like kazoos. Perhaps those 400,000 punters are of the generation weaned on the Teletubbies theme, their older brothers' Paul Van Dyk records and their mums' love of 1980s power ballads. Basshunter's cover of KC and the Sunshine Band's heartbreaking Please Don't Go sounds as though it was recorded on a bouncy castle invaded by MCs hollering: 'Are you ready?!'
'Now You're Gone Freedom fighters video game. ' is a song performed by Swedish dance musician Basshunter in cooperation with DJ Mental Theo's Bazzheadz. The single uses the same music as 'Boten Anna', Basshunter's major European hit in 2006, but its lyrics, performed in English by Sebastian Westwood, are completely different.

Differences from 'Boten Anna'[edit]
Dutch DJ Mental Theo's Bazzheadz collaborated with Swedish musician Basshunter on 'Now You're Gone'. Swedish music producer Robert Uhlmann produced the song with Basshunter.
In 2007, DJ Mental Theo used the 'Boten Anna' instrumental to create a bootleg English-language version for his DJ sets in Magaluf, Mallorca. It was this song that eventually became released as a single.[3]
The song's theme is different from 'Boten Anna'; 'Boten Anna' is about an IRCbot, and 'Now You're Gone' is about a young couple breaking up. The music video expands on this theme, although it suggests a reunion of the couple, which is not referenced in the song itself. The tempo of the song has also been increased compared to 'Boten Anna'.[citation needed]

The song also topped the charts in the neighboring Republic of Ireland.[citation needed] Minecraft forge.
Basshunter Now You Re Gone The AlbumMusic video[edit]
The Iranian model Aylar Lie plays the female lead in the music video of the song. Lucas Thorheim is the male actor. The other two girls that are with Aylar Lie are Silje Lian (who is in the pink top before she gets changed) and Marielle Mathiassen.[citation needed]
The music video expands on the song's theme of a young man and a woman ending their relationship, depicting the couple breaking up over SMS text messages. At the end of the video, the couple kiss, but the lyrics do not follow this event.[citation needed]
To date the video has experienced massive success on Internet video hosting site YouTube, where the video has reached over 200 million views over uploads of the music video on the Hard2Beat and Ultra Music video channels.[5]
